Myodia pass ...The natural queen of Arunachal Pradesh...

In the way back 2011 ,I was posted at Golaghat and then one fine morning I  have come across a topic on Myodia in local news paper written by Sankab kaushik Barua , immediately I decided to explore the same and waiting for a opportunity to get few days leave .In February 2011 ,I convinced my boss for 5 days leave and started . 

As always my team consist of Maa,,my wife pory ,Mahi and Gada .This time brother in law Nayan also was there . Without knowing any details ,we have started the journey ,at that time there was no google map ,no OYO ..no infrastructure was there to help us on the same .

Myodia pass is located about 56 km away from Roing in Arunachal Pradesh with an elevation of 2;655 m of sea level ,in the way to Anini ,which is the eastern most part of India near china border  .To reach Roing at that time there was only one way from Tinsukia through Sadia  where you need to cross mighty Brahmaputra by ferry as there was no bridge at that time and lifting the car in ferry through 2 small piece of wood is the biggest challenge for me ,I can drive through any dangerous road but this particular task is very difficult for me ,even now also .

 Now a days, you can reach Roing from many ways ,from Pasighat side or from Tezu as all the bridge is already there ,but the easiest way is from Tinsukia through Dr Bhupen Hazarika setu ,which is the logiest river bridge in Asia . Any one can plane a 4/5 days trip around where you can enjoy the beauty of Roing ,Tezu ,Parasuram kunda ,Pasighat etc ,Mythological important Bhismok Nagar was also located in the road to Tezu from Roing . 

We have started in the morning from Golaghat and somehow catch the last ferry in Dholaghat , I handed over the car to the ferry staff to lift it as this task is impossible for me . It was evening of February and ferry start to move through Brahmaputra and from the mid of the river the sight of sunset can be expressed as divine ,whoever has experienced it only know how it feel like .....

After getting down from the ferry ,there was absolutely no road and covering this 15 km to chapakhowa from the Ghat has taken almost 1 hour ...when we reach Chapakhowa ,it was already dark and you can not imagine how the place was at that time ,as there was absolutely no traffic after evening ,you will not find a single person to ask something even in the evening 6 pm ....

for accommodation we got one hotel name satful and the condition was horrible ,somehow past the night ... 

at the time of dinner we mate one person who was working in Anini as a teacher ,and he has been there in the hotel for last 5 days as the road to Anini ,which passes through the mighty Myodia was closed due to heavy snowfall ...

Morning I have started for Myodia with absolutely nil idea about the road and place .....In Deoipani river there was a bambo bridge ...and passing the car through it was like winning a gold medal in olympic .....after crossing the river ,we have started through the zigzag narrow road at that time and upto Myodia pass ,we have not crossed a single traffic as the road was closed ,before reaching the pass ,we strted to get the snowfall ..The schene was amazing .... every where you see ,you will find the purest white form of snow ,covering all the tree around ...

In front of the temple of the Myodia Pass ,i wait for some time and everyone has played with the snow ...enjoyed a lot and agin i decide to go forward to search for Myodia ......

I was having an conviction that Myodia will be a place ,where I wl find some small shoaps and hotel ,usually we found in Hill station ...I was absolutely blank at that time and absolutely no idea that where we were playing that is the top of the pass and without any delay trying to moove forward towards Anini ,searching for Myodia .... But fortunately or unfortunately my Maruti Alto got stacked in snow and upto bumper it was buried totally in snow ...Absolutely no way to go forward .,..Some how recovered the car and  came back again to the temple ..

Everyone was busy in playing with snow but Maa was asking every time to go back ,which was absolutely correct ,if we would have been there for some more minutes we had to face dangerous situation as we were going down towards Roing heavy snow fall started ....If we wait some more minute ,we may not be able to come out from there ......That was my first experience of sleet ,white small particle of snow falling on you ,like some one is pouring white flowers on you ,we have experienced that also ,coming out from the car ,but Maa was warning us everytime to go back immediately .....Finally we got out from the pass ,before its toally covered by snow and reach Roing safely .....

Now a days the roads became wider with all the bridge connected ..and obviously with heavy crowd  ,specially when snow falls started ...You can not find such adventures any more ...But still for the first timer ,I can refer these places as Paradise on earth ...
